I read the script

I've read a really great draft dated September 25th. It's very faithful to King's story, but it adds a lot to it, mostly in the beginning, and sets it in 1969. It really works, and has a lot of that STAND BY ME feel to it that feels very Stephen King.

I read on the Fangoria website that they've cast Jonathan Jackson to play the lead, and Erika Christiansen from TRAFFIC and SWIMFAN to play his girlfriend, and that David Arquette is George Staub. Charles Durning plays the sad farmer (who is in King's story, though the girlfriend isn't).

I've got high hopes for this one.

Where did you find the script at? Online or what? Please tell.

Be wary of anyone who said they read the script. They probably gathered this information from various sources. It's amusing though when we pretend isn't it ?

you might be right. David Lancaster is a good producer -- he just needs the right vehicle to really take him up another level. this could be it.

Creature Corner has a pretty good review of the draft, which seems to be the same one I read. I heard that Charles Durning has been replaced by Cliff Robertson, though. Anybody know when it's coming out?

it's kindda hard NOT to be faithful to the book when its only 60 pages long
