Had no idea he was a homophobe.

I have one problem with that article. At one point the author states that an article did not mention that the man who died was gay. While it might be necessary to point it out in explaining why it happened, I don't see it as any worse than any other death. It was a tragedy, but the man being gay does not make it worse. I don't know if the author meant it to come off that way, but that is how I read it. The magazine stating that he was involved in a death during a bar fight should have been sufficient.

I should also add that we don't know for sure that this was gay bashing. Adams claims that it was just a violent fight, which might or might not be true. If these guys were going into gay bars and looking to find someone to attack that would have been different, but I can't say with 100% certainty. It is a tragedy either way and horrible, I just won't say for sure that it was a gay bashing incident. We know he attacked a gay man, we don't know whether or not it was because that man was gay.
