Scariest Scene?

For me, the scariest scene would have to be a toss up between the horse eating the child alive and the gingerbread (eating I assume?) another child. What scenes did ya'll think was scary?

the gingerbread man.

Yeah, it was the way that its tenacles just grab the child and then when it stole the child's face now that was creepy!

reply

I not seen it for a while but to do recall the Gingerbread bit was the first thing everyone wanted to talk about at the end of the movie.. it was very freaky.

I think I will be forever scared of the Gingerbread Man b/c of this movie. I was watching Dora the Explorer with my 3 year old, the other day, and Dora was in Fairy Tale land and they showed the Gingerbread Man and I automatically thought of that scene in this movie. That was just a very freaky scene.

I admit that was a scary scene but i would have to say when gretel was in that cave trying to get her scarf back and the the big man blocks off the entrance humming a lullaby--that was freaky

When the screaming Queen falls apart in pieces like a shattering mirror! What a tragedy, too, after having her incomparable beauty restored.

reply

Yeah! I thought that part was a bit too freaky how her face just literally shattered like a mirror!

reply

Spider-horse, definitely. Very disturbing imagery....and kind of gross too.

The gingerbread was just plain crack. I LOLed at it. XD It was so "Ghostbusters".

Had I been a little kid when I saw this, the witch at the beginning would have given me nightmares!

Hey, it's the "mori no otomodachi!!

The Gibgerbread man was definetely the creepiest but that scene where the child loses his face in the mud was so eerie. Those scenes were very creepy and scary at the same time, my friend's kids are terrified of this movie.

Spider-horse and Gingerbread Man. Both were also quite surreal.

What about the scene where the kitten is accidentally sliced up by that torture machine? I actually thought that scene was more sad than scary.
