What Goines book would you want to see as a movie?

I personally would like to see Inner City Hoodlum be made into a movie, but only if it was done right and featured more legitamate acting. The story is great but could be very easy to make trashy.

I don't want to see ANY MORE of this murderous Pig's books made into a movie!!!!

Well.......ACTUALLY..........it would be nice to see a movie made based DIRECTLY off of Goine's life!!!!!

And what led up to his and his wife's murder!

We all know he was nothing but a BRUTAL PIMP! Nothing 'new' there! LOL!!!!

What led up to this sick, 'ex-pimp's' murder!????

Doubt anyone has the 'balls' to make such a movie. Would have to be a Pimp, too.

AIN'T gonna happen!

Black Girl Lost, Whoreson, Daddy Cool.

At least a third of Swamp Man and Whoreson would never make it to screen (even in a so-called indie film).

I can't think of another autobiographical writer who conveys attraction and repulsion with equal and overwhelming intensity. Nerdy horror writers pretend to feel it, but Goines seems to have lived there in real time. Even at his most grotesque, you can feel him being drawn in. He writes like a voyeur freed from hell who can never quite bring himself to leave.

Robert Beck is great in other ways, but he doesn't dwell in the pit like Goines. There's always that mix of pleasure, grief, guilt and horror that makes Goines linger on a scene when everyone else would have had to look away.

I'd like to see Black Girl Lost. I loooooooved that book. It was the first Goines novel I ever read and I read it back in high school....15 years ago! I loved it and I've read it numerous times since. Ive seen the other ones made into movies, Never Die Alone was the better one; but if they make Black Girl Lost into a movie I'm gonna need a better director and better actors. LOL. I like that they hire rappers in these movies but I'mma need them to hire rappers that can act. LOL. I'd like Spike Lee to produce a Black Girl Lost if it ever happens.
