waste of money and completely over rated. Just because its completely random and over the top does not make it good. The torture scenes were nowhere near as bad as they were made out to be, the depiction of mental illness wasnt very convincing and the overall plot was poor. pile of wank

I expected nothing when watching this cuz' I thought this is an sci-fi comedy (I never read the synopsis, just randomly picked this by rating) and its turned out to be more than that, psycho-thriller-scifi(which korean is really good in this genre, referring to "Memories of murder") and I very love this movie, now waiting for "Hwayi", new action thriller from "Save the greeen planet"'s director!

shareI had a problem sitting through this movie the first couple times I tried to watch it but I finally buckled down and watched it straight through, and Im glad I did. I ended up watching it 4 times in one night. Ive watched it 12 times since and I still have 4 days before I have to return the rental. If I can find a torrent that isn't too big and is being seeded Im downloading his movie for my personal collection.
My wife wouldent sit through it either till I made her, she loved it. Went to the store afterwards and when I came back she was watching it again.

I just saw it for the first time and thought it was brilliant. In fact, when I watched it, it was the first time I'd even heard about it - I caught it on the Sundance Channel. It was long, true, but it didn't *feel* long. There was so much going on. I can't judge it by other Korean films, as I haven't seen too many, but as a film in general, of any kind, it was wonderful and would probably score an 8 or 9 from me.
