Umm, since you're obviously familiar w/ the franchise, then u already know that these movies about a guy with needles all over his head(or just the face?) who kills people after someone opens Pandora's Box.
The reality ship? Yeah, long gone.
If they can have a guy who kills people when Pandora's box is opened(along with is trusted cenobites(sp?)), then they can have a drug that makes them all hallucinate.
OK, Now in the past week, I've seen some more Hellraisers(now i've seen them alll except numbers 2 and 3), and I think it's weird that you are complaining over the group hallucination. Hellraiser: Hellseeker is way weirder than that. Basically the whole movie has the guy waking up over and over. By the end of the movie, I had no idea what was real and what wasn't.

I just wonder what hallucination Rick Bota was on to think that this would bring any glory to the Hellraiser series. Seriously, this is the only one that I dont like. I love all other Hellraiser movies, but this was ludicrus. Remarkably terrible movie.

IMO
You really need to see part 2 & 3 of this series. Also re-watch part 1 & 4.
Everything after part 4 is horrible. Sure they all have their moments, but the entire flow of the movies and the effect they have on the watchers is hindered greatly with a stasis-like flow.

lol i couldn't even get past hellraiser 7 .. it was THAT bad...
And yeah Hellraiser 1-4 are one of the best horror movies out there..
Hellraiser 5-8 is NOT canon for me

I cant believe how bad this film really was, its so sad to see a once great franchise reduced to this garbage, i dont really know who is to blame but the buck has to stop with the director imo.
Deader was very dark an had its moments but i cant get over the fact this was done by the same guy as this was a step in a completly different direction which i truly cant understand.
Anyways this is the worst by a country mile an if anyone has seen this an not 1-4 dont let that put you off as those are well worth checking out.
