when was it made?

In the movie credits one can read it is made in 2004, however on this forum it's said that there was a screening first in 2005, while the IMDB data tells us that is was made in 2007. What is the right year? And why all this confusion?

2007 is wrong because Edward Albert died in 2006.

Absurdity: A Statement or belief inconsistent with my opinion.
