when i got to the end of this movie, it occurred to me that maybe von trier is having a joke on us, with leth backing him up. maybe the whole film isn't a documentary of von trier challenging leth, but instead an elaborate joke where the two work together pretending to challenge and be challenged. maybe von trier wants us to question the essence of film, and where the line of reality is.
something in the final short sparked this, but i forget it at the moment. i was wondering if anyone else had this feeling.

I have this feeling with everything Von Trier does.. when he get's home and closes the blinds.. he sits there laughing to himself.. ha ha ha they really belived it

Really? I got the sense that it was a couple of strong filmmakers playfully pushing each other and comparing dicks, in a good way. It would've been so much more work to 'write' this is it were, instead of just letting it happen.
