I thought she did do but then when I watched the deleted scenes on the dvd and it shows the extra bit where she walks away when its getting light I changed my mind. She turns away and he has suddenly vanished that leads me to believe it was just a fantasy.
shareI was wondering about this too...but since the scene was deleted, there was no indication in the scene as it actually played that the American (with the French nose & dubious American acccent!!) wasn't real.
