The Missing Link is Always Missing

These programs never address the problem with the missing link. Question: How does Cro-Magnon man appear millions of years before they should if normal evolution is allowed to proceed? Scientists can't answer this question so they always simply ignore it completely and dance all around it.

reply

The answer is genetic manipulation. Read Zecharia Sitchin's The Twelfth Planet.

reply

Yeah, straight from the "Get A Load Of This Guy" vault:

Zecharia Sitchin

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zecharia_Sitchin#Translations_and_interpr etations

"Sitchin's ideas have been rejected by scientists and academics, who dismiss his work as pseudoscience and pseudohistory. His work has been criticized for flawed methodology and mistranslations of ancient texts as well as for incorrect astronomical and scientific claims"

"Sitchin's assignment of meanings to ancient words is tendentious" (definition: Tendentious having or showing a definite tendency, bias, or purpose. THE OPPOSITE OF OBJECTIVE) "and frequently strained.[22] Fritze also commented on Sitchin's methodology, writing that When critics have checked Sitchin's references, they have found that he frequently quotes out of context or truncates his quotes in a way that distorts evidence in order to prove his contentions. Evidence is presented selectively and contradictory evidence is ignored."

"In a 1979 review of The Twelfth Planet, Roger W. Wescott,[25] Professor of Anthropology and Linguistics at Drew University, Madison, New Jersey, noted Sitchin's amateurishness"

"Nibiru would spend over 99% of its time beyond Pluto. Sitchin's explanation that heat from radioactive decay and a thick atmosphere keep Nibiru warm is absurd..."

What is absurd about gaining all of the heat necessary to sustain life from radioactive decay? radiation sickness, cellular decay, internal bleeding, birth defects, cancer. ALL HOKUM!!
Lies perpetuated by Big Oil and "The Man", I don't know, seems legit.

A few chunks of weapons grade Plutonium and I would never have to pay for natural gas again.

Put it in the oven and I can cook.

Cut open my water heater, drop a chunk in, *BANG!!* hot water.

Strategically set around the house and I can scrap my furnace.
In the summer I just move it into the garage. I'll have to buy a kiln to store it I guess. I wouldn't want to burn it down and lose the parking spaces. The HOA has some pret-ty hefty fines for overnight street parking. You don't want to know about rose bushes, trust me.

A quick run through the bylaws does not specifically reference Plutonium.
*check*

But you can't leave your garage door open.
*check*

Hel-lo kiln.
Goodbye gas co.

Why has no one done this?

Aside from those killed in Hiroshima, Nagasaki, Chernobyl, Fukushima, Marie Curie and a few instances I'm certain to be forgetting, I don't see a problem.

To maintain integrity the italics, bolding, and color changes made to any cited quotes are mine alone and not present in the original; the full text of which can be read at the link provided above. I encourage a full read because it gets even funnier. I'm ordering the book from alibris (used, this guy's made enough money already for unintentional comedy) because I can't wait to see how it ends.

I notice you have no answer for the 'Missing Link' but managed to Google some negative reviews of Sitchin. Try Googling negative reviews of any popular author and you will find them. You would be better informed if you actually read some of his works. Much of what he says is indisputable and that's the parts that fascinate me.

This is who I should read. A man roundly denounced as a crackpot (at best), and flat-out liar (at worst)

You would be better informed

Rest assured in the knowledge that I am.

Any of the scientists I read (pick one) is a pillar in at least one field and not subject to the derision your clown is.

Try reading Dawkins, an actually accredited scientist
University of Oxford
evolutionary biologist

Extended Phenotype
The Selfish Gene
This one would appeal to your love of stories:
The Ancestor's Tale, told in story form from today's human backwards in time. A story with the hefty weight of real honest-to-goodness science to back it up. My favorite is probably The God Delusion (didn't make the list as it's not germane to our discussion). FROM the list The Selfish Gene would be my favorite.

Or Michio Kaku
I think he's professor of theoretical physics at NYU.....nope
, I stand corrected from the back of Hyperspace: Professor of theoretical Physics at The City College of The City University of New York, Harvard Graduate, Ph.D from UC Berkeley...it goes on like that.
Hyperspace This book alone tells you why no alien race would really ever consider coming here, let alone backing it up with the science of its actual economic feasibility.

Or Stephen Hawking
Holds the Lucasian Chair at Cambridge University
A Brief History Of Time
A Briefer History Of Time
This one's actually my least favorite but I'd already read the first two:
The Universe In A Nutshell (too many pictures and the material is a combination of the first two, albeit diluted.

Much of what he says is indisputable

I assume you're now talking about his genetic work, derived from too small an available sample as to be acceptable.

A gap in evolutionary history is not filled by aliens by default. Do you know what Occam's razor is?

Aliens travel here, engineer an entire race of slaves to mine gold, why not use their "vast knowledge" to make gold from other elements via slow neutron capture. We've already done it, a few times since 1924. These were laboratory settings and the amounts are measured in miniscule amounts but surely such an advanced race had, by that time mastered basic accounting. Travel several hundred million miles and back to carry gold, make our own gold, or my favorite: Why not stay? At least then you don't have worry about calling "shotgun" while running to the Flying Saucer.

You would be better served to keep Sitchin on the same shelf as Tolkien.

Much of what he says is indisputable

Only, only, only if he is saying "we don't know".
Because filling gaps with pseudohistory, pseudoscience, and incorrect astronomical and scientific claims is not valid.

If you like the books, good on ya'. But they're not factual. They're fantasy. I hope you're not home-schooling anyone.
The very next time I feel like reading buckets of BS passed as "fact" I'll pick up one of his books.
I'm reading Discipline And Punish: The Birth Of The Prison by Michel Foucault, held a Chair at College de France, taught in Buffalo (it goes on), right now. A little pithy, I imagine, for your tastes.

BTW some people don't just "google" 5|-|!7. They actually read. I'm one of them.

Quoting definitions proves nothing. It all boils down to opinion and you obviously are a hater with an axe to grind. Possibly a jealous streak showing. Why don't you quote your own half century of research? I thought so..... Haters seldom have anything positive to exhibit in the way of accomplishments.

Incidently, you can respond to this thread but don't expect me to see anymore of your vile hatred. I block all haters so they don't waste my time or energy.

Never have been, wanted to be, or will want to be jealous of a fraud.
That's like being jealous of Bernie Madoff---Pass

Why don't you quote your own half century of research? I thought so

Why not quote your own--OH wait, you did, the huckster.

By the way, answering your own posed question, inside its selfsame post is a nonstarter. Leaving out the fact that you stated that you won't be reading anymore of mine (to be clear:you won't respond but you will read). This is exactly what your "researcher" does: excludes contradictory evidence.

I block all haters so they don't waste my time or energy

You left out:"Especially if they read authentic, real, demonstrable, duplicatable, peer-reviewed papers and studies, that don't meet my stringent propensity for fantasy."
But don't let me finish your thought.

Haters seldom have anything positive to exhibit in the way of accomplishments

Exhibit A: Bush_Pilot; since you decided to make it personal.

with an axe to grind

This is the most accurate thing you've said, kudos! I do have one: people spouting, perpetuating, and funding fantasy couched in "research" and "science" as fact. That, by virtue of its longevity, is lent further credence. Making the job of real science that much harder. I can't even imagine sitting down with my kids and telling them we were engineered by aliens.
*stifles laugh, unsuccessfully*
I'm sorry I just did it and man I'm gonna give it a shot.
They're gonna LOVE this.

I thought so too.
Don't teach anybody, anything, ever, please.

Cro-Magnon are considered indistinguishable from modern humans. Wikipedia lists dates for them in the tens of thousands of years, not millions. Where do you get your data?

reply

Reread my statement. I simply said they appeared millions of years 'Before' they should have. Not that they had been here millions. You don't go from Neandethal to Cro-Magnon man overnight unless you get some help. Your indistinguishable statement is absolutely correct.
