DVD?

Does anyone know if this brilliant british comedy is planning on coming to dvd?

reply

It already is on DVD, or the first series at least. The second series may not be released due to lack of demand for the first one. I think there's a petition somewhere on the web to get the 2nd one released. I know I'd buy it.

i really hope they do bring series 2 out

At the weekend I was given the 2nd series on a dodgy DVD. I suppose the longer the BBC delays in releasing a second series the more fans who would otherwise buy the DVD will purchase these rip off copies.

1) the seconds series is pretty damn funny and there are moments of sheer genius

2) I've just had a sandwich made from stale bread and an unripe banana, and my stomach now hurts

Strictly speaking the two points are unrelated, but the second is rather relevant for me and I wanted to share.

i only ever saw a bit of the second series - the one when vince was going on holiday to finland - this was also the very first time i saw 15 storeys high and i'm really pissed off with the bbc for not getting a second dvd released

Typical of the BBC. It seems as tho they want to keep this gem quiet, yet garbage like Little Britain gets hyped to death.

Like most people, I stumbled upon this show 'accidentally' on TV, and had to buy the DVD. As soon as I watched that, my first thought was "Gotta get Series 2!" But it seems unlikely to come out in the near future sadly.

Anyone know the address of the petition mentioned above?

PS. I got series 1 on Ebay for £6.00.

Hell look at how long it took them to bring out Operation Good Guys on DVD... that only came out earlier this year. I doubt we'll be seeing the second series DVD any time soon... or a third series despite the people involved reportedly being up for making it.

I find it infuriating. I love Sean Lock and have got footage of him from the Stand-Up show in the mid nineties. When I heard of 15 storeys it took me a bloody age to find it on the schedules. Hence I missed two from the first series. Hooray for the DVD!

But then the second series didn't do as well as the first. Well, I tell you that they were one viewer down because I didn't know the frigger had been broadcast. I caught ONE episode (the one where he tries to go to Finland - Genius!) and missed the rest. The BBC don't know what to do with shows that they can't pigeon hole.

Little Britain -"it's like The Fast Show meets League of Gentlemen"
2 pints of lager- "it's like Friends meets Men Behaving Badly"
15 Storeys High - "errrr. Stick it on late!"

I heard rumours on 15storeyshigh.net (currently ot accesable) that sereis 2 maybe out in May. Not sure how reliable this info is, but whilst there's hope.

I've not seen any of the 2nd series, in fact i never saw any of the first on t.v and hadn'teven heard of it till Amazon recommended it too me.

I figured what the hell and bought what turned out to be one of the greatest sitcoms of recent years and found a new comedy hero in Sean Lock.

He has me in tears on 8 of 10 cats.

£20 for six hours of sheer comedic genius aint bad and series one dvd's are selling for about a tenner on eBay.
You also get to listen to Sean complain about the lack of exposure in a passive aggressive way in his commentary.

I know both series are on DVD now but I got backup copies (grin) from a trading website called DVD247 for 3 British pounds each and free postage.

Check out this link : http://dvd247.tripod.com/15storeys.html

I'm sure everybody knows this by now, but just in case anyone doesn't, both series of this absolutely brilliant programme are available on DVD, either separately or you can get both in one box for six quid from Amazon! Cheers everyone.
