Funny-bad
I began expecting amusement and so was disappointed for most of the first half, which seemed stuck in that twilight border between promise/unjustified-optimism and irritating mediocrity; you know you are firmly in the straight-to-video zone yet can't stifle a hope of transcending its bastard beginnings... Well, no chance of that: it stays dull for another 40 min. and only kept me hanging on by weirdly drawing me to the vulnerable & fetching heroine, quite cute despite otherwise having the semblance of a healthy smack habit.
But boy, did they ever deliver with the 3rd act, when I was consistently LOL'ing at every other line. I'd put it right up with "FearDotCom" in that department (and Splicer/Wisher probably cost a lot less).
Can't decide which bit was funniest, the cop letting them off with the warning or the climactic Napster mishap... I even cracked up as the identity (obvious in retrospect) of the slasher was revealed because I'd totally forgotten that foreshadowy guy from before... So funny, must re-watch, if only for the end when she interrupts Joel Silver with, "Hey now--don't use that word," lol
