Where was this filmed in Scotland?

Most of the Scottish Locations were in and around Dornoch in Sutherland,Dunrobin Castle just north of Dornoch. Some scenes were on an oil platform in Cromarty Firth and a distillery nearby.

There were also some scenes filmed in Golspie from memory, which is just south of Dunrobin Castle. Follow the High St through town(the A9)and as it bends to the left at the end of the village, take the small road straight ahead for about 100 metres. There's a stream and bridge ahead (leading to the coastal path to Dunrobin) and some scenes were taken of the cottage there.
