I live in the U.S. and have not been able to see this movie on television. It is based on one of my very favorite books and I would love to see it. If anyone has taped it and could send me a copy, I would be glad to pay them for it.
I keep checking to see if they have released a DVD on it, but it doesn't seem to be available. Please advise if anyone knows if they are for sale.

I also live in the United States. I ordered a video copy from Amazon.uk.com. The one problem is that it has to be reformated for an American vcr. You can take the tape to place that can duplicate it to a standard tape.
If you loved the book, you'll be disappointed by the movie. The first half is like the book, but once in Scotland, everything changes. The acting is great, but they do change a lot of the personalities of the characters. Disappointing. But the scenery is beautiful and what you'd imagine it would look like. I hope this helps.
