First off, i absolutely love this movie, but on the second viewing a few things confused me. First, is it implied that Park Hyeon-Gyu (the final guy they try and convict who they threaten on the train tracks) killed the school girl and was a sort of wannabe serial killer copying the real one? Also, whats with what Baek Kwang-Ho said about Park Hyeon-Gyu being the one who burned his face? Does this have anything to do with anything?

1. We never know who the real killer is. Park Hyeon-Gyu's DNA doesn't match the killer's sample according to the FBI document.

2. I'm afraid you misunderstood the second part. When Baek Kwang-ho said about his burned face, he said his father did it to him.
