Well, I know you're probably OUT of high school by now, but for anyone else who may get on with the same question and see this...
ALWAYS read the play you're auditioning for before the audition. Always. That's just smart auditioning.
Okay, that aside, yes, there are plenty of "small roles" in Our Town. In fact, most of the roles are small. There is a chorus (church choir, mourners at the funeral) which are, of course, the smallest roles with no speaking lines. Then you have the paperboys, Howie Newsom, Wally Webb, the belligerant man in the audience and the baseball players at the wedding, for males. For females, Rebecca Gibbs is a good "young" part, but there's also two women in the audience and... I forgot her name, the woman who cries at weddings.
