Hi, i particularly want to hear from Macross fans and those who have seen DYRL and Macross Plus, because those are the ones i've seen. I mean if this is good and they spent a fair bit of money making it, why haven't they released it in a way similar to that of Macross Plus, which is available from amazon in several editions. Was this a complete flop...to the extent that they don't think it's going to make any money???? What's odd is that the soundtrack is available....hmmm...

They can't release macross zero in the US because of Harmony Gold's legal ramblings.
Harmoney Gold owns the original Macross series, aka robotech and they wont allow it to enter because it would conflict with the robotech timeline and other minor technicalities that are too much to list.

Except for the strange mumbo jumbo ending, I enjoyed it.
Macross zero is a good ova and equals in scope with macross plus.
I think it was quite successful in Japan.

It was a pretty good well rounded 5 episodes the plot was pretty creative. Excellent visuals this was how I had always wanted to see veritechs move. The action was great those are some bad ass machines in the right hands. Very good dogfights, as for getting a chance to see it I downloaded the five episodes from Limewire. It was actually an accident on my part I knew nothing about Macross Zero so I downloaded them all and was pleaseantly surprised. Personally I'd stick with downloading most animes on limewire if available and torrent files if you have the time. Its worth watching it though good OVA, I give it two Battloid thumbs up.
