What a crap ending! *SPOILERS* (obviously)

I cought the first Ginger Snaps on IFC a couple of years ago and really liked it surprisingly; I've been wanting to see the second one since it was a direct follow up (I did see the third but it was pointless and random and had nothing to do with the real Ginger/Bridget; ok I guess). I just finished watching the second since it's on FEARnet, which was cool as hell.

Heres the thing, it starts out GREAT; very dark and atmospheric and kinda cool in a weird way. I also really like Bridget anyhow. In favt, the who first part of the movie was really good. As it went on it got weird. Not bad, but weird. Ghost pissed me off right from the beginning but when it got to a point where she was making people die because they might take her from Bridget I was just waiting for her to die because it just got more and more pathetic. Despite a cool climax the ending was f uken HORRIBLE. Basicly Bridget is trapped in the basement forever and Ghost feeds people to her if they piss her off. Nice. Real nice ending. And after the whole first movie and this one too thats her forever fate? Some little prick's pet? And by nice I mean freakin pathetic. And who the hell was the werewolf? Everyone was dead at the end of the first and I was waiting for it to transform when Bridget killed it but I guess not. Not that much of a biggie but c'mon, a movie that starts great and has a lotta potential jsut goes down the crapper with this ending. Did this annoy anyone else too?

Throughout the film there is a slow build up to the fact that there is a far worse monster than any werewolf (i.e. Ghost). The ending is the punch line to this. I like everything about this movie.

hey man, I'm with u on this one. I too loved the movie, thought it had potential, bla bla bla. But the ending was just like "WTF"? Ghost did annoy the piss out of me, but I sorta figured out she was a liar/killer, as well as trying to have Bridgett be her "sister". In some ways I felt sorry for Ghost, being lonely and delusional and all, but damn! She was a selfish bitch! I think in some ways, a better ending would've been something like: Were-wolf is dead/alice is dead/bridgette ESCAPES and rips that Spirit-Whore (ghost) into pieces. It too would've been a lame ending, but better than (as u put it) some "prick's pet". On a side note, the only thing I thought was funny about ghost, was when she called that dead chick a cu*t.

I agree the ending pissed me off. But the werewolf that was chasing her throughout the movie was Jason from the first movie. He's the one that Ginger had sex with and infected. Yes B gave him a shot of that stuff that supposably "cured" him but in this sequel they stated they found out it's not a "cure" it just slows down the process. Hense why B had to keep on taking it. So he ended up turning into a werewolf anyway and he was the one that kept chasing her in the second, wanting to "mate" with her (in true jason fashion...little perv)

I so agree with you, I despised the ending, but I thought the movie went off its rails totally in the second half-- once they left the center.

I hated Ghost, too and can't think of one reason why Brigitte would have trusted and stayed with her, if only because she starts out by taunting Brigitte, and gets no more likable after that. This would have been a good thing for Ginger to pipe up about. At one point, Brigitte tells Ghost she should leave. What? Get YOURSELF out of there Brigitte. Take that company car and go.

The only good thing about the ending is that Brigitte holds on to her humanity as long as possible, then asks for death, but wasn't able to commit suicide herself. A noble character to the last.

Going to have to agree with everybody else about the ending. Pretty awful for a movie that was shaping up to be an excellent sequel.

I agree with Dan-2288.
I began laughing at how cool it really was,
It was like a punch-line.
