Great game, could have been a decent film too!

If I could make this into a film I would cast the following actors for the following characters:

Guy = Mark Dacascos; who else? I really cant think of anyone else who could play a better Guy than Mark Dacascos himself!

Cody = Many choices, here are are a couple of mine. Jerry O'Connel or Keanu Reeves. But I am open to other suggestions!

Mike Haggar = Hulk Hogan; wrestler and has acting experience. I can't think of anyone else at this moment of time so please add more to it although there is a wrestler I know who looks like Mike Haggar but I just can't think of his name at the moment!

add more to this, thank u ppl!

I think an Anime movie would be better.

OK, how about Colin Egglesfield as Cody and Ralph Moeller as Mike Haggar, I cant think of anyone else to play a better Guy than Mark Dacascos. With the martial arts skills and speed, definitely Mark Dacascos also Guy has a certain Japanese (oriental) look about him just like Mark Dacascos!
Colin Egglesfield is an all American looking guy, young, brash, also has brown hair and not too bad a fighter but as mentioned in the game that Cody likes to use knives.
And Ralph Moeller, this guy is HUGE! Bigger than than Arnie, does not have an accent although he is German and will definitely look like Mike Haggar with a moustache on his face!

Easy one: Kane from the WWE as Andore. They're built just like him on the game, actually Kane ended up looking like the Andores, same body type and build.

I love it. More women in it these days, heh heh. More backstage skits than wrestling though, but it's still fine by me. And some of the pay per views are really good, but I think they have too many, but there's the Raw and Smackdown split, so I guess that's why.

Thank you for posting here, I thought no one would ever come here again.

They even say on the main page that the Andores were created to portray Andre the Giant.

I've got all 3 Final Fights for the Super Nintendo. They're all fun to play, over and over, even though it's the same thing each time. But it's fun beating up those enemies. And part 3 has different paths you can take so the replayability is great.

I don't believe Dug had a cape, those were J's and Two P's.

He was probably the hardest boss of them all (well, in the Super NES version). Rolento was pretty hard at the end of the Industrial level in the arcades.

Abigail had tremendous range, he could grab you from almost 1/3 of a screen away, even when you attempt to punch him. He'll just grab you, and do that wussy body toss move that takes out about 9/10 of a full lifebar.

He's just a souped-up Andore is what he is, and the Andores alone are tough. It helps alot if you have a Knife or a Pipe when you reach him. The regular enemies that appear when you fight him always get cheap shots in though, causing the Pipe to go away.

Hi everyone, I have always been a fan of Final Fight and heard that there was an animated TV series and also a few guest appearances by the Final Fight characters on the Street Fighter animated TV series. But what I would like to know that will a live action Final Fight be a good idea? I think I have the casting right but I need inputs from everyone else. Here are the links to the pictures of my ideal live action cast so do let me know what you think!

Guy - Mark Dacascos

I'd personally love to do a movie of this, but as with all video game films, it would have to be CAREFULLY researched and written. Otherwise, it'll end up alongside Street Fighter and all of Uwe Boll's films.

First thing, the movie needs to be R. When dealing with a massive gang that can commit murders without thinking twice, it can't be watered down to PG-13.

Second, subtle liberties should be taken with the story. Instead of Jessica being Cody's girlfriend, she is now Guy's girlfriend and Cody's ex girlfriend, thus making Cody and Guy more antagonistic.

Plus, a new story needs to be created to link up the reasoning behind Cody and Guy randomly going throughout the city (Haggar won't be as much of an action-based character). Basically, I thought of something along the lines of Die Hard With A Vengeance, in which Belger wants Haggar to play his game. Belger has his gang while Haggar only has Guy at first, and bails Cody out of jail. So basically, each time Cody and Guy reach a certain point, they'll receive a call from Belger as to what they should do next.

Also, there may be more of a story with the elusive Rolento. Basically, Belger hired Rolento to kidnap Jessica, thus leading up to a more personal fight between Guy and Rolento near the film's end. This I've had in my head for a while, but basically, it's a highly emotional fight with Rolento being an amazingly difficult opponent for Guy, and Guy fighting out of sheer anger.

Also, for "Abigail", when Cody first tries to fight him by the bay, it's useless and both he and Guy have to escape. However, as Guy fights Rolento, Cody has his near impossible rematch with Abigail, and then faces Belger.

Basically, I have a lot of ideas for this as this was one of my favorite games when I was little, and thought if done well, it would make for a great action film. I also think there could be some subtle nods to the game without being too cheesy, like a car chase ending with Cody trying to "beat out" the henchman hiding inside using a steel pipe, as an homage to the bonus level. I dunno, it's risky, but I'd like to give it a shot someday.

WOW! I gotta say this is very impressive, you have put quite a lotta thought into it and if I was wealthy enough to produce and direct this film I would definitely have you as my plot consultant.

I cant say I disagree to anything you have written but what about Sodom? What would be his role in this? Any ideas?

I am glad you have taken an interest in this piece, hope you like the casting as well.

Thanks!

Yeah, I've been trying to figure out where Sodom would fit into the story. Like I said, certain liberties would have to be taken, so he may not make it. Even if he does, I don't know how important he will be to the story. Here's the basic rundown of the film in general:

1. Film starts in 1982 with Mike Haggar's final fight on Saturday Night Slamasters (explaining the film's title). He wins the fight and announces throwing his hat into the political ring running for Mayor of Metro City. He wins, beating out the former mayor... Horace Belger. Meanwhile, Cody, 17, and Guy, 19, are best friends, and of course, Jessica, 15 is Cody's girlfriend.

2. Move ahead to 1987. Cody and Jessica are no more, with Cody becoming addicted to street fighting in Metro City and Jessica moving towards a singing career, with her new boyfriend... Guy. The two go on her tour, which eventually leads to Japan, Guy's home country. This being said, they spend time with Guy's family. However, one night when Guy leaves his home for a moment, his parents are killed and Jessica is nowhere to be found. Guy only finds a sign stabbed into his father saying "Metro City is the place to be".

3. Guy travels back to America and goes to see Haggar. Before he can even say what hapened, Haggar receives a package with a video tape and a phone (large 80s style cell phone, of course). The phone rings... here we come to the famous opening of the game, with less cheesy dialogue, of course. They tell him to play the tape, which shows "Damned" tempting to have his way with Jessica. Basically, Haggar is told that an "old friend" wants to play a game, and that Guy and Cody are Haggar's "pawns". They need to meet with someone in the slums the next day at noon. They will receive further instructions from that point.

4. From this point, Haggar goes to the Metro City jail to bail out Cody, who has once again been arrested for fighting. Cody, now a strongly cynical individual, needs to be motivated to save Jessica, as he claims to have no feelings for her anymore. Basically, Haggar tells him that all of the assault charges he has been arrested for will be waivered and he can start over. From here, Haggar briefs the two of them on who is said to be in this anonymous leader's gang.

5. The next day, Cody and Guy meet a Mad Gear henchman, Bred, in the slums. He tells them to follow him. Cody and Guy, however, don't find Jessica... just Damned and a ton of henchman. Meanwhile, before Cody and Guy can beat the hell out of Bred, he runs off. So basically, this is the first big scene of the movie, and ends up being a chase scene with the henchman chasing after Cody and Guy, a lot like the alley chase scene in Ong-Bak.

6. The two of them take out Damned, and find another phone. They're told to go down into the subway and board it. From there, that's all they have to do... supposedly. They take out various henchmen again, but they soonr realize the subway they boarded can't be stopped. This being said, they end up crashing into the end of the tunnel.

7. The two of them end up waking up in some basement and are forced out into an underground caged arena. There, they meet the Andores. So basically, it becomes a two on two fight, until Cody and Guy become victorious and escape. They find a stairway and break through the trap door, leading them to a bar in West Side. They get out of the bar, and end up in the middle of an illegal "festival" in the middle of one street. There, they find "Eddie E", who obviously tries to stop them. They take him out, find another phone, but suddenly, out of nowhere, Bred shows up again, steals the phone, and takes off in his car. A few Mad Gear henchmen follow him on motorcycles, yet Cody and Guy take out two of them, steal their bikes, and chase after Bred.

8. So basically it's a car chase, with several more Mad Gear members coming up on Bred's cues. Cody eventually, and desperately, jumps ontop of Bred's car, causing him to swerve and crash into a gas station. Cody, extremely pissed, finds a fallen steel pipe and tells Bred to come out or else. So basically, he pounds the hell out of the car, finally breaks the windshield, and drags Bred out. The phone rings in time for Cody to answer, and they're told to head to the Metro City Bay. They leave Bred behind, crying, saying only one thing... that's right... "MY CAR! MY ****ING CAR"

9. Cody and Guy head to the bay, only to be attacked by knife fighters, whom they take out with ease. Yet Cody, who heads on his own for a short while, comes face to face with Abraham "Abigail" Gaylon. Cody is no match for him, and is easily knocked down over and over. Guy comes in, sees Cody on the ground, and tries to fight himself. Of course, he doesn't stand much of a chance either. Basically, Cody and Guy take a chance, and fall over the railing and into the bay. However, a boat comes by and picks them up. Of all people, Haggar is on the boat as well. Haggar explains that the one in charge of the game set up closed circuit cameras throughout the city, and that he was able to hack into them. When he found out they were going to the bay, that's immediately where they headed. Haggar also reveals that he found out it was Belger behind it all. That being said, they head for his skyscraper in up town.

10. Obviously, this is the finale. Eventually, the three end up getting seperated one by one. Haggar is the first as he takes on a large number of henchmen, including another Andore. Guy and Cody end up splitting up when they encounter Rolento, they try to both fight him, until they knock him down and Guy gets Cody to the elevator. Guy could obviously go with him, but all Guy says is "find Jessica", and lets the door shut. Cody goes up, and it's now between Guy and Rolento. They have a long, intense, and emotional fight. Guy of course wins in the end, but Rolento, trying to get his last laugh, pulls the pin on one of his grenades. Guy escapes in time of course.

11. Cody makes it to the top floor. A few henchmen pop out, but Cody gets them out of the way with no problem. Belger shows himself, sitting alone in his chair by the large window. Then, from the side, Abigail shows up, carrying Jessica under one arm and hands her to Belger. Abigail and Cody have their rematch. Tough as before, but Cody is a little more prepared. After a long fight, Cody finally breaks Abigail down, limb by limb, shattering his kneecaps and breaking his arms. It is at this point when Belger brings out his specialized automatic crossbow gun. The two of them go at it for a while, until Cody gets his chance when Belger's gun runs out. He runs, leaps, spins, and lands a drop kick on Belger, sending him through the window.

12. Haggar and Guy show up in time, finding Jessica in the corner and consoling her. Cody, feeling like he's done his job, just leaves. Guy tells Jessica to go after him. They have a small bit of dialogue, but unlike the game they don't kiss. Cody just says "I'll see you in concert".

13. "One month later": We cut to Los Angeles, "Jessie-H" is getting ready for her concert, with full backing from Guy while Haggar has to stay in Metro City. Out of nowhere, Cody shows up backstage to see her. He tells her that he still has feelings for her, but knows that Guy makes her happy, and that's what's most important to him. They share one final kiss, and they go their seperate ways. Cody, most likely back to Metro City, and Jessica, out on stage to her fans.

These are the basics as there are a bunch of scenes in between to add more depth to the characters and not make it strictly fight after fight. It's going to take a while to get it all organized!

There already is a Final Fight movie, it's called "Streets of Fire." J/k but the game was heavily inspired by that movie. Any FF fan should check it out. I'd recommend Warriors also.

"Anything with a ball: no good." - Martin Scorsese on sports.

Yeah I heard about that, apparently this film was the inspiration for the game, Final Fight.
I am looking everywhere for this film but I can't find it at all.

Please help if poss!

Yeah, I've seen SoF, but it would be interesting if there was a film based directly on the game. Funny thing is, I even found a Japanese version of "Tonight Is What It Means To be Young", which would make an interesting end theme:
