I LOVE THIS MOVIE.

Okay, regardless of the fact that I almost turned it off before Edward Furlong stepped onto the screen,

I LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS MOVIE.

It totally exceeded my expectations. And Edward Furlong was amazing.

He brings so much to ever role.

Who else loved it? :OOO

I loved it... I wasn't sure if I wanted to see this movie at first, cuz it sais it's a horror flick and I hate it because it's borring, but Edward Furlong was in it, so I watched it and I don't find it's a horror movie, just a love story with drama and satan...I REALLY loved it...

I agree. If Edward Furlong wasn't in it, I probably wouldn't have watched it, but he really added to the film in my opinion.

reply

I was a little nervous about watching because of what people said but I LOVED it! It was very entertaining. I was not expecting for the crow, the bird, to be hurt mid-film. that kept me wondering why Jimmy wasn't dying and later you find out the bird is bleeding to death. Cool movie.

reply

Yeah I thought Furlong was absolutrly perfeect and the plot wasn't bad. It definitrly doesn't deserve the 2.7 rating

reply

I honestly tried to like this movie. I got excited hearing about it when it was first announced because I am such a huge fan of the book. You guys know that this is based off of a book right? Just wanted to be sure. Anywhoo, I couldn't watch this movie a second time. It's just too much of a departure from the book. For those of you that love the movie, you should definitely read the book. I think you will like it just as much if not more.

reply

Wicked Prayer is definately one of my favourite films. So, yeah, I love it too.

I'd turn gay for Veronica Mars

My friend and I laughed our asses off after reading your review. Not that it isnt well written..I just love the part about satan.

In any case, I thought this movie was pure tripe. I am an Edward Furlong fan, but the thought of him trying to be someone as kewl as the crow killed it. So the fact that the movie did fulfill my expectations still kinda disappointed me. lol

Oh well, at least I can watch the original and rread the comics to get this 3rd graders attempt at recreating the crow out of my head.

The only people who like this film are Edward Furlong fans, not Crow fans.

Of course, i'm sure nobody who watches this film are fans of the Crow. We're all just mindless Furlong zombies.
That's just a stupid thing to say, who would go and see The Crow #4 if they hadn't seen the first or read the graphic novel?

I love this film, but in that logic it means that it's not the film that i like it's the 'dreamy leading man'. Come on, show us Crow fans (who happen to like this film) some respect.

Mindless Furlong zombies, just as mindless Mabius zombies were half of Salvation's draw. Not to say I didn't enjoy Salvation (better than WP at least) but eric Mabius fangirls kept the film from fading into oblivion.

reply

Salvation was sweet, but i saw it because i was a crow fan, and i saw WP for the same reason, and i just happened to dig furlong. i was excited for it--followed its progress that whole year it was in production--the dvd came out a week before my birthday and my gf got it for me. i was a little let down. i dont hate the movie--but it was certainly not up to par as the rest of them. even City of Angels was better than WP. but Salvation is my favorite of the sequels. alex corvis was awesome, real pain there. WP felt like a cheap late night scifi channel movie [and for all intents and purposes, it is]. if i had to choose between a couple episodes of Stairway to Heaven and Wicked Prayer, id chose the former.

but its like--you HAVE to see Wicked Prayer. at least once.

i would like to read the original book tho. id like to know the differences

Wrong. not a furlong fan. i am a crow fan and i liked this movie. The only one I didn't care for is the second one.

reply

Really? Really? I like Edward Furlong and am a Crow fan and was expecting this to be better than the travesty that was Crow 2 but unfortunatley i thought it was even worse. After seeing this thread maybe i'll give it another go and see if I might not have given it a chance. The fact that i can't remember anything about it after 3 years bodes badly though...

reply

Your kidding, right? This movie is awful.

reply

I hate this movie deeply.

reply

This is the only Crow sequel I have actually liked.

This version of the corw COMPLETELY missed the point of the story, and what was this god stuff? Really? They tried adding religious overtones that just made no sense at all in teh context of the story.

reply

I loved it too tbh was never really a fan of the original Crow but this one was cool pure revenge movie and Eddie was perfect in the role!

I thought the movie was great. Furlong can really pull off the necesarry emotions. He was great for the part. I just wish the soundtrack was released; I'd buy it in a heartbeat

reply

Everyone on this thread should be hauled out back and shot.

That includes myself for even taking the time to post in it.

reply

Well, let me give you the secret to enjoyng the Crow sequels.

Since they have a different protagonist each time, it could be said they are not as much sequels (at least not direct ones) as much as they are just other Crow films. Try to consider them as such and not try to connect them with the first one. (Remember, This one and the first are separated by two others and a TV series.)

Also, you should know the filmmakers were trying to take the Crow in a new direction with this.

reply

the first crow movie was still the best imo...

reply

I agree.

reply

the movie is better then its rateing i liked the mix of a love story and action. David Borenaz really was a hilarious villian, Edward Furlong trying to be tough is strange because he looked like an EMO CHICK with the crow makeup on

It was disappointing to watch this movie. It was just a mess and painful to watch. The acting was terrible. I don't know how this movie got made in the first place.

I Love It When David Boreanaz Was In It

Any1 who says they like this movie is either a troll or they had something to do with the movie or at the very least knew someone in it.
Come on, it has Tito Ortiz... As an "Actor"... Really? Whoever watched Tito in front of a camera and thought "I want this guy in my movie" has some serious issues.

reply

This is another butchered and bastardized ripoff of the original cult classic. You need to get out more cause i seriously question your taste in movies

What's wrong with finding a movie entertaining?

nothing at all. i rate this higher then most imdb users
