Not bad for a $1 thrift store purchase + an Israeli's opinion

Got this for a buck at a thrift store, and when I was a kid I was nuts about planes. Now I'm just plane nuts, but that is a different story......

Since I was such an airplane geek as a kid and am now a movie geek I quickly realized this was a movie made for the general public who, for the most part are BEMs, that is "Booger Eating Morons".

As an Israeli, I understand why they wouldn't want to show an actual Israeli pilot, because they would have to either blurr out the face or have them wearing their helmet WITH THE SUN-VISOR DOWN for op-sec.

As for showing an actual IAF F-16, all the secrets are in the inside, the Israelis are no dummies as they know that the Russians have spy satellites and will happily give/sell intel to the bad guys. And these days there really are no "secrets", all you have to do is flip through Janes........

As a matter of trivia, I've met many USAF veterans who served at Nellis and worked in and around the Red Flag exercises and without any prompting from me volunteered the information that the Israelis consistently kicked ass, even against the American aggressor pilots.

I smiled.
