Typecast or coincidence?

I saw Leo Bill on Ashes To Ashes (Episode 3) playing Ryan Burns, a crazed church going killer who killed a black woman, but wait a moment. Didn't I see him play a very similar church going character who killed a black woman in "The Man of Law's Tale", an episode of "The Canterbury Tales", a few years ago? His hair was blonder, curlier and thicker back then.
