Thread for Bush lovers

Things are getting a bit heated here. I'd just like to create a little oasis here, a little calm space, on which supporters of President Bush can say what's so great about him. Maybe some witty insight, a droll, off-the-cuff one-liner that he's made. Or maybe give an example of an occasion when he turned down a donation or contribution because it came from a questionable source. Or just list all the brave things he did during his Vietnam War service. Off you go guys and HAIL TO THE CHIEF!!!

I would like to be the first to respond:

I liked when he asked if Brazil had black people. It showed his down-home folksy charm. Not that elitist world-traveler know-it-all, liberal attitude.

I heard that he didn't talk to that porn star who went to the same fundraiser he did. Does that count as turning "down a donation or contribution because it came from a questionable source" ?

And from what I have read, during the early 70's he wore one helluva tight uniform, which was very courageous.

My all-time favorite droll, off-the-cuff one-liner from George Bush was when he claimed that upon seeing a plane hit the World Trade Center he said to himself, "There's one terrible pilot". I've run this quote into the ground on another thread but that's because I think it can't be repeated enough. I'll have to get back to you about all the brave things he did during his service in Vietnam. LOL. Didn't he put himself in the line of fire to help Max Cleland when Cleland had his arms and legs blown off over there? Was that George or was it someone else? I'm betting it was someone else.

reply

Cleland lost his arm and legs because he dropped a grenade on himself.

Hey, you can't knock his success rate in that war. In all the time Bush was serving in the Texas Air National Guard, there was not one successful penetration of Texan air space by the Viet Cong. If that isn't an impressive record I don't know what is.

I'll start a thread for all the Obama loves- i.e.- college-age slackers who blame everything on the Republican party and can't come up with any ideas of their own. And people who dredge up groundless accusations of racism. And people who blame their inability to get a job on the government.

In fact, that even sounds like a certain political party, oh wait.. of course, they have their convention this year in Denver!

Sweet!
