Ain't a kids movie

IMHO, this movie is a very good one, i agree, it surely is in my must see list, but i don't really think such movies should be watched by children. The anime is beautiful and all, but not for children. This kind of movies are really messing with your head for a while. I know some people see movies and forget about it after 5 minutes, but there are people who can't stop thinking about it.

So my opinion is that children should be forbideted from seeing this movie.
Waiting for your opinion..

Just because it's animated, does not mean it's for kids.

put down ur copy of Finding Nemo for one second and realize that this isnt targeted at little kids in the first place.

Well yes, certainly, this is why it has been rated 15 (suitable for people over 15) in the UK. Aren't ratings are given for a product so that parents will know whether it is suitable or not ? Other animated movies (by Disney, Dreamworks etc) are generally rated U in the UK or G in the US, which means that they are suitable for everyone.

Well, I thought the 15 was going a bit too far, 12 would have been closer to the mark I feel. Perhaps it's not aimed at children, but films SHOULD stay with you after you watch them, irrespective of your age. If you can forget about a film five minutes after watching it, it was probably crap. I wouldn't let really young children watch this, but from about age eight or so, yes.

Although nowadays children as young as 4 grow up watching a lot of violent or not too appropriate stuff, I would not really recommend Sky Blue to anyone under 15 (maybe 13-14 as well but not younger than that). There is quite a bit of blood, brutal violence, graphic deaths, some bad language and some other scenes which could be horrifying. I mean, considering that some people complained that some Disney movies like The Lion King, Hunchback of Notre Dame etc were too tough for kids to handle (with which I tend to disagree because neither I nor my sister or anyone else we knew had any problems with them as teenagers, and let's face it, most of us as children loved to watch some drama and dark stuff and so do nowadays' children), Sky Blue could be far too much. I do not know what effect it would have had on me if I had watched it when I was younger than 15 but for a start I know that I would not have been able to understand much of it anyway as I was not very well familiar with world politics at that time.

Hi

I'm very much against cencership of all kinds, but this film being rated at 15 does make sence to me, I can't imagin anybody over the age of 15 wanting to see this film more than once.
