I just cannot watch dubbed movies. The sound and the mouth being out of sync drives me insane. I rather read the subtitles.
Even if reading takes attention away from some things. If you understand the movie well enough the second and third viewing there is no need for subs. You can just sit back and wath it in it's original language and see all the things you missed when you were reading the first time around.

I have no issue with dubs. First time I saw Advent Children it was English dubbed, and while the sync was noticeable, it didn't bother me at all. Reading subtitles always takes way to much attention from the movie for me. I haven't seen this yet, but I intend to see it in English the first time I watch it.

Of course the dub sucks. It's a dub. Saying a dub sucked is like saying the sun came up this morning.

There arne't any subs in the UK release.

I thought that was a real shame especially as the rest of the package was really good. The film was still worth a watch though and looked stunning.

I was really annoyed about this! I bought the DVD because it still said on the back that it was available in the original language, but upon watching it I found it only in English and I feel like it spoilt my enjoyment of it... What a shame!

Like billy_picard my DVD says the film has a Japanese language track with English subs however this is not the case, it is an English dub. The dub isn't too bad, I have certainly heard worse but it just seems odd that the packaging description doesn't match the actual release.

Remember, ALL animation is dubbed, whatever language it is!

Didn't really care either way, there wasn't enough dialogue for me to notice bad dubbing and the line delivery sounded fine.

I never knew this movie had english dub :/

I like Dub for anime movies, princess mononoky had Superb Dub
ninja scroll was great, most anime are just great !

the korean or Jap language just makes it feel more authentic, but it's an Anime and I rather have it in good dubbing

Live action films, that's a BIG NO NO for dub movies.

"Live action films, that's a BIG NO NO for dub movies."

Disagree.

The Space Battleship Yamato (Live action) dub by FUNimation was perfectly fine.

Also, Germans dub nearly all American popular live action movies for their general audiences. (I lived in Germany for a year as an exchange student and watched a Few Good Men in German....retitled "Eine Frage der Ehre" (A Question of Honor)...."Haben Sie den Code Red befohlen!?", etc.

Likewise, the American movie "Ted" is weirdly popular in Japan because of its Japanese dub and localization.
