Ending *SPOLIER*

The movie should have ended when Eyal collapses in Axel's arms---I thought Axel would tell him what he has done and then they would tell eachother that they were both fit to walk on water now..
I thought maybe Axel and Eyal adopted a little baby girl and were living together when they showed the child. Didn't see him marrying Pia at all.
Anyways movie was good otherwise.

I thought the ending was apropos. A Jew and a German coming together, and bringing forth a new and innocent life. For a moment I thought they were going to take the gay route with Eyal and Axel. Then I realized that there was nothing sexual in their embrace. It was as if Eyal saw an innocence and understanding in Axel and was for once able to let go and cry. That he may have understood what Axel had just done is not clear, but remember, Axel too would likely have had negative feelings towards the GF who likely murdered homosexuals as well as Jews during his reign of terror.

"just to see how many heterosexuals could even see what was going on. It's amazing how many just didn't get it, as it turns out."

I didn't get it either. And I am gay.

You know Tomtrueman I think it could have been a better end to have Axel and Eyal together as a happy couple..come on he married and had a son wioth her and Axel became a happy uncle..it is too German, Antigay like type of ending...hehehe...I loved the scene they share at the beach..it was very nice and by the questions Eyal asked at the bar like if it hurts when you got sex, and so on...I thought to myself "Mm if he asks so many questions is because he likes Axel and wants to give a try" and also thought he would end up with Axel at the end...the ending really surprised because he didntĀ“care at all about Pia in the whole movie.

"it is too German"

correct yourself immediately, there is no such thing as "too German"

Obviously there was a connection between Eval and Pia. I thought that was a very natural chain of events and added to Eyal's character arc.
