I thought this movie was hilarious

I just got my copy yesterday from ebay. I thought it was histerical. A lot of similarities to 2 movies named Kung Pow and Kung Phooey however but it was pretty good. Kind of like an "airplane!" of this decade. If you like movies that are in the tradition of Kung Pow and Kung Phooey, you need to see this. a couple of my favorite quotes are:

Action Fighter:I hear you are good with guns.
Gun Man:i'm not just good,i'm the best.
Action Fighter:Oh. i heard you were good.

Tongan Ninja:he is your father?
Action Fighter:yes. and what is more,i am his son.

lol. anyway,enjoy watching Tongan Ninja.

I have not seen the movie, but i was introduced to Jemaine Clement through the Flight of the Conchords. I am a major fan and want to buy the cd. I just thought that if their songs were funny, the movie would be as well. I would love to see it.

Jemaine is a major character and helped write it. I dont recall if bret is in the movie or not.

No. Brett's not in it. But he did co-write some of the songs and do the coreography for the kitchen dance sequence. "Chop. Chop. Chop suey!"

reply

thanks, i do wish to see it, though i have not yet. it sounds so funny!

I loved hearing the Aussie accent on one of the ninjas at the electric fence when there trying to stop whats-his-face...."Step aside ladies, i'll have a crack at it"

reply

still have not seen it. kind of dissapointed at that fact

reply

Yeah. But it's a New Zealand accent. It's a New Zealand film.

Sounded like an Aussie actor to me. Alot of Kiwis have the Aussie accent, tho.

reply

Oh God.....

The accent on that character sounded pretty aussie to me. In fact, I am going to state for a fact that it was. There, now it's official!

The key words here are "to me" - you being a person who has no idea what you are talking about.

This had some great one liners in it!

Action Fighter: You fight like a baby. A DEAD baby.

TN: What the hell damn?!

"But you did leave me very badly disfigured," laughed the boy.

reply

obviously this movie is in my top 10 for very good reasons....

I absolutely love this movie.

I've only been able to see it by joining a rental club because there is absolutely no where I can find a copy to buy, especially in Ireland.

I only watched it because I'm a major FotC fan, but I'd say that if I had seen the movie first I would have probably discovered Bret and Jemaine through watching the film.

-I once knew a man who was good with children. They called him; Children Man. Know him?
-I kneecapped him and then I killed him.
-Nice.
