Rating?

Does anyone know the US rating of the movie? My cousin wants to see it, but she might be too young..not that I wont smuggle her in anyways...

Is it getting a US release?
It barely got a UK one. I had to go a long way to see it.
It was brill though!
Dont know how the US rate films but there were no nudity/sex scenes or violence of any note. However, the F word is used as punctuation. I expect that is frowned upon more than blood and gore!
It got a 15 cert in the UK (no under 15's in other words - is that stating the obvious? Sorry!)

Stating the obvious? I didn't think so, but then again I'm VEEEEERY ignorant of any other rating systems than US. It's sad but true. I wouldn't mind seeing it I think, and I very much appreciate the sort-of run down you gave of any bad stuff in it. It's good to know in case I ever get the chance to see it! And it makes me want to see it even more now that I know what to expect (and that there r4eally isn't that much to beware). Thanks.

off the top of your head how many times do they say the F word?

reply

Well it was said that its used as punctuation, and I read somewhere (can't remember though) that saying it twice in a movie is enough to get it an R rating (but only once if its in a sexual context), so I'd imagine it would end up being an R. If you've ever seen the movie Coffee and Cigarettes, its just an hour and a half of people sitting around talking. No sex. No violence. It got an R however, because they said the F word many times throughout. Yes, I know its an utterly stupid rule, but thats how it is.

it is a 15 in the uk because of the new 12a rating which has replaced the 12, it means anyoune under 12 can still see the film but with an adult. this means that if there is too much swearing they cant risk under 12s seeing the film. i dont like 12a its just as good as a parental guidance (pg)
