daughter should have been left out

The daughter didn't inherit anything from the forgiving and loving nature her mother had. She just blindly condemns her father, that she didn't even know in person. All she can do is hate him, while he really had proven his love for her mother Edith.
Daughter Angelika calls Werner an anti-Semite just like that, while he knew that Edith was jewish all along, and that she had false papers. Still he decided not to report her, but to love her and offer his protection.
A real anti-semite would have reported her immediately to the Gestapo. In 1943 he had even agreed to a child, knowing it would possibly wear "jewish" marks. Besides he also protected the half-jewish friend Pepi in Vienna, by helping him get a document to stay out of the German army. Therefore I don't believe Werner Vetter was an anti-semite.
Daughter Angelika, despite her name, obviously has learned nothing from the angelic heart her mother had.

This creature appears so ugly next to that of Edith Hahn, that she better would have been left out of this beautiful documentary.

He was 100% an anti-Semite.

You literally have NO IDEA what a "real anti-Semite" would do during those times and your arrogance at assuming you know what the actions of people in such a situation is disgusting.

You obviously haven't read the book. You should.

Your belief Werner wasn't an anti-Semite is just plain ignorance.

Edith herself acknowledged Werner's hatred of Jews. He total nonacceptance of their daughter.

Your post is just ridiculous.
