Geoffrey Rush = Peter Sellers Lookyloo

I was watching Dr. Strangelove today and thinking, Geoffrey Rush could play Peter Sellers, and sure enough...

Yeah, pretty uncanny resemblance, eh? One of my all time favorite movies. Rush did such an amazing job, but it was also the way the story was presented.

Amazing all 'round.

Eh. He didn't look THAT much like him. Seller's lose was thin and kinda tilted to the right. Also Sellers had those sorrowful raised eyebrows. Sellers had bigger and more crooked teeth, that showed when he talked, and he was much more handsome than Rush.

Plus the way Sellers talked was different. He sounded like a British gentleman, Rush talked in a rough cockney accent, plus he has a deeper voice. And the way Sellers mouth moved when he talked was different then Rush.

Rush was too tall aswell, which they tried to alter. But for instance when he was standing next to Miriam Margoyle (Peg), he looked like a Giant Hunching over.

He was also a bit too big. Sellers was pretty thin in his mid-life, Rush had more meat to him.

There was some very few shots where he looked like Sellers though.

Plus Rush does that thing with his nose when he talks where his nostril goes up. Sellers didn't do that, and also Sellers always would act very cool and casual and kinda stoned, cause he always was. Lol

I never realized the likeness between the two until I watched this film. Of course, makeup helps, but Geoffrey Rush is a chameleon as an actor who can slip into any role – male and female.
