Japanese Culture Question::

Though I know that the reason Miike hired that black guy to be in this was becuase he was in that band that did the soundtrack, but is it the norm in Japan to have a black Japenese-only speaker, in everyday culture? I have never seen a black or white guy in a Japenese movie, and I was just wondering.

I believe that Teah is actually half-Japanese, half-Brazilian. I believe that parts of south America, like Brazil, have very strong Japanese sub-cultures, similar to a Chinatown of America. Kamikaze Taxi is a great movie that deals a lot with the Japanese that move to South America or attempt to move back into Japan. Miike has also dealt a lot with the Chinese-Japanese relationships and issues with Japanese not being full-blooded and people's fellings towards that.
