I'm sure it's a pipe dream, but who would love to see these Hornblower adventures continue?? C'mon, BBC, pull 'em together!
shareOK, I clicked "post" before remembering this wasn't a BBC series. I have fewer hopes that A&E would resurrect this series, no matter how excellent. Sigh.
shareIoan Gruffudd has said he would like to make more 'Hornblower' movies, and he was willing to bankroll them himself if it was a possibility. Alas, A&E auctioned off all the Hornblower props and models back in 2007, so he'd have to start from scratch, and he'd have to engage a production company to get the script written and do the casting etc.
The good news is that with Forester writing Hornblower well into his dotage, there's no chance that Ioan will age out of the role. I for one would love to see a few more 'Hornblower' movies and hope that it happens someday.
