well, this is not the first time some foreign directors making films not from his background. If you check some directors film making history, you will see that in some point of their lives, they made some film which is not in their usual "expertise"
shareOzpetek moved to Rome in I think the 70s to study, so it makes perfect sense that he would make an "Italian" film.
sharelet's say it's a Turkish Italian film. quite fair, considering director's Turkish culture and Italian language used in the film.
