Finished, that was class, changes so much throughout, has a great pace, and she gets a bloody good revenge on that Karan guy.

the actress who plays Sarika, reminds me of canadian actress 'Emily Perkins' not sure why, but they are both excellent.

As regards to speaking English, a Sri Lankan friend of mine said that a lot of people there speak very mixed dialect, and it is quite a 'trendy' thing to do to slip into English and back, so it might be something similar here. Apparently in Sri Lanka they even had a gameshow where contestants were challenged to speak for a minute (or 2) without using a word of English!

Guys, if you liked this one, may I recommend Johnny Gaddaar? That's the second film by the director of Ek Hasina Thi. I liked Ek Hasina Thi very much, but thought Johnny Gaddaar was even better.

Well a couple of people have answered that, but I might also add that it has been a feature of all Indian films that I have seen, and yes it does seem a bit odd to Anglophone viewers.
However in the Middle Ages in England it would probably have been the case that many people would have mixed in Latin with their English speech, and to an English speaker that might have sounded odd too, although English speakers these days frequently use Latin and it is not noticied as it has become part of the language.
