Why 'Cinderella' Man? (Spoiler?)
I didn't catch the significance of the title.

It was what legendary American sportswriter Damon Runyan called Braddock in an article he wrote.
He's taking the knife out of the Cheese!
Do you think he wants some cheese?
Tonaluv, I'm sorry you haven't "gotten any" in years, but don't take your frustration out on me. I can clearly see the parallel, but with so many stories about rags-to-riches, I wondered why Cinderella? And thanks to the poster who answered.
shareCan you think of a rags-to-riches story that's more widely known than Cinderella? I can't.
shareQuote from Wikipedia:
"James Walter "The Cinderella Man" Braddock (June 7, 1905 – November 29, 1974)..."
Does that answer your question?
maybe it's because of those pink shoes he wore during his comeback fight
