i don't hate it but it is just too cheesy. pay attention to one of the twins scream and two vampires do moon-dancing. jackie chan doesn't help this movie because he is a wrinkled butt. 5 of 10, not recommended.
No, the movie is awful because Jackie showed--short of his "wrinkled butt"--a tad too much on screen. If Chan, as a cameo, should have such a lengthy screentime, the people responsible (in HK it's the directors, not screenwriters) should have worked his character into a more prominent role, such that warrants that level of exposure. Face it, kid with broken English has a point.
I thought the movie was great fun. I imagined it was geared towards a teenage audience (girls primarily)... if so then it is bloody BRILLIANT compared to US-made crap aimed at teens. There were a lot of silly scenes... but I thought the action stuff was fairly well-done. I even liked the music!
And, for the record, I loved both Versus AND Pistol Opera... and thought Fist of Legend was terrible.
i disliked Twins Effect. Because the script was awful. If the movie took itself more seriously because i really don't like seeing girls doing stupid things to good guys.
But for Versus it was different that movie was aiming for a B-Movie.
I sort of like it, it was entertaining at least. But there wasn't really any story to it. And some of the fighting (especially with the twins fighting with each other) were too long. But I really like the action scenes.
'i would suggest you to see some other movies of rodriguez, like desperado and from dusk till dawn, and get a taste of his style. then you need to do some reflection on your vindicative posting. lol'
I would suggest you take your own advice.
And by the way...Jackie Chan could kick your butt any day.
