What was cut out of the english version?

I heard that the original was cut down quite a bit for the english release. What kind of things were cut?

There is a scene at the beginning of the film: the "hunters" are ambushed by the vampire clan. While the male partner is fighting in the train, his female counterpart is battling inside of a building, I believe. Her scene (and it is a pretty good one) is "slimmed down"(shouldn't have been) in the American version. Also, when the duo confronts the lead vampire, you'll notice he has one arm. "Did this happen in the fight?" Yes, it did, and the original version of the film shows this. Also, the restaurant scene where the guy is ducking his girlfriend is "slimmed down" (again, needlessly) a bit (I think he cut off his fingernail to honor his promise to his girlfriend). These are only the scenes I can recall without re-watching the film and comparing the two.

19 minutes were cut...but the *real* problem is that they rearranged several scenes, leaving the entire film pretty much nonsensical. Get the original instead; it's a really fun popcorn flick.

From Wikipedia:
Several scenes and timelines in the opening sequence are altered
Some scenes' editing are different
Some dialogues were modified
About 20 minutes of footage were cut from the original film, but some new scenes were added
The new film length is shorter than the original version (88 minutes for Vampire Effect)
Some film scores / music / instrumentals differ from the original version (different composer)

Goddamn it, American distribution companies; knock this *beep* off! If you don't want to sell the film the way it is then don't buy the rights to it. Let someone else release it properly.
