Is it that much better than the regular DVD? Is it blu-ray quality? If anyone can guide me as to the best version to get, please help. Thanks.

I just received my blu-ray copy today. I will post my impressions soon.

Oh Lord, you gave them eyes but they cannot see...

The blu-ray version looks pretty good and certainly is far better than the DVD. There is room for improvement but it is the best choice.
