I found this scene hilarious. The look on his mothers face was great.

Absolutely priceless. I'm glad I'm not the only one who found it truly hilarious. As you said, the grandmother's expression is one to die for - and note her hand flapping above the table. Amazing.

And I love how, when he goes out on his date with Iris, he won't take her back home - he says something like "It's a mess"... and she just gives him this confused look!

This whole thing came all of a sudden for me and I bursted into laughing like I was crazy. Great scene :)

That was a great scene, so funny and so typical of Scandanavian humour, even though Iceland is not quite Scandinavian. Also the redness of the blood was the most vivid colour in the film. This scene had a beauty about it as well as the humour.
