shown abroad at all?

hi out there on the net, i'm just interested whether this movie is shown anywhere outside the german-speaking-countries?

reply

Hi there,

I'm sorry but I don't know. I guess, not many movies make it beyond the borders. Also, what do you mean with "outside german-speaking-countries"?.
I'll have a copy of this movie (german+french) on DVD. If you're not too far away, I could send you a copy, too. (Captured from TV, everything legal)

Greets,

TCC

I just saw it in the Netherlands as a release of the Filmmuseum Amsterdam

I just saw it in Los Angeles - at a Goethe Institute Film Festival. Perhaps branches of the Institute in other cities also will be screening the film. It is worth seeing.

Called DISTANT LIGHTS in English, it was shown in Auckland, New Zealand on the 14th June 2005 as part of the the Auckland Film Society 2005 Season.
Brilliant film.
