Annoyed.

I am annoyed that the Diary of Ellen Rimbauer is SUPPOSED to tell the story of the book, yet has obvious flaws. The characters don't even seem portrayed the same to me - much less the fact that the leads have (in real life) a seven year age difference, and in the book are supposedly 20 years apart. STUPID.

i havent seen the movie but i have read the book and was hopeful that they had made one because i really enjoyed the book. ive read lots of peoples comments however and many people didnt like the movie. did anyone enjoy the book??

I both read the book and watched the movie. I liked the book and the movie. It did not bother me that the age difference was obviously smaller in the movie. Stephen Brand was a great John Rimbauer. They can't do everything when making a movie from a book. The fact that Mr. Pearson was also the writer of the movie helped in what I think he wanted to convey from book to movie. JMHO

I am annoyed that Lisa Brenner (Ellen) is a horrid actress. She was dry and unbelieveable. I can't believe she wasn't pulled in the first days of production.

I agree. They should at least have kept consistencies from the Rose Red Miniseries to The Diary. It's really p!ssing me off!

Definitely! I'm watching it now and see they completely messed up the part where her daughter disappears.. She was SUPPOSED to have disappeared into the pantry, correct? Well she just got eaten by the globe for whatever dumb reason.. How hard was it for them to replicate this? Really mad right now lol.
