BORING!
This film has no plot and lacks any suspense whatsoever.
I nearly fell asleep.
Don't see it. Don't.
I bought it for three dollars at Blockbuster. It's worth watching for the pure horror you'll feel when you see how bad the acting is. Though it's borderline not-funny, it's still ridiculous enough to warrant watching if you liked Rose Red. After watching it, I understand why Stepehen KIng tried to distance himself from it as much as he could...

Reading the book and watching the movie (s) makes the whole experience a wonderous adventure.. it is almost like getting points of view.. regardless to it being boring... it is the principal of it all.. it is all related... it follows suite.. I have read countless books that would be conluded as boring by one and amazing by others... also watched many many many movies that i would have rather have missed.. but... i still watched them.. for the principal of it.
Usually after I read a book, and then watch a movie, it brings it all to live, makes it more.. Visuals makes a book better in some aspects and can ruin it in others.
In the case of Rose Red/ The Diary of Ellen Rimbauer(2003); It just made it all come full circle. Multiple aspects of one topic.
Take a deep breath, grab some snacks and a drink... make a comfy place where you enjoy sitting for a bit and read the book (s) and then watch the movies. A good week end project. ( That is, if you have nothing else to do. )

Stephen King helped with this movie. Even helped rewrite some lines. I really enjoyed this movie and I thought that the acting was done really well. Though it would have been nice to have all of the characters come back, I think that everyone did a great job.
