I trust the idea of a Trump presidency way more than a Clinton one

The dems have been pushing this narrative that Trump is too batty to have access to nukes and other things related to national security but that's shortsighted. If Trump wins, he'd be neutered. The first time he did anything even half wrong, they'd quickly impeach him and work to make Pense become pres. He has no allies in Washington. He'd HAVE to be on his best behavior. I don't even think he'd do most of the governing, it would be mostly staff making real decisions while he window dressed and took credit.

Clinton though has ALREADY shown that she is either deceitful or negligent when it comes to policy and privileged info. And worse is that she DOES have friends in high places who would scurry to create coverups for her misdeeds. There's a whole political movement to try and secure her as "the first woman president", which gives her a bunch of wiggle room to act up and not be easily punished. I mean look at the shenanigans that took place the last time the Clintons were there. The only difference is that Bill, despite his sleazeball kinks was able to do a competent enough job to temper his unsavory personality quirks. Hillary doesn't have that same charm. She's basically another Nixon waiting to happen.

Hillary has the potential to be WAY more dangerous to have in office than Trump!

I agree with you.

Once Trump wins the nomination, he'll stop with the craziness and become the true candidate he is.

reply

Sorry. I mis-typed.

I meant once Trump begins the race for the general election.

reply

Oops. Did it again.

I meant to agree with you. Once he's in office...

And you also bring up a good point that I think those on the fence should consider more. Choose the candidate whose administration will work due to the candidate being politically neutered and constantly reigned in by threat of impeachment!

Man, if that only fit on a bumper sticker, we'd be in business.

OMG you're a genius, nice...

I totally agree that Trump would be FAR better than Clinton. Clinton is an anarchist who wants to break the law and let in MILLIONS and MILLIONS who have NO legal right to be here! She also wants a 5 TIMES increase in Muslim immigration to make America the hellhole that much of Europe has beccome!

She will DESTROY America forever and we'll suffer PERMANENT damage with her! Trump will maintain America while Clinton will continue to turn us into a foreign country!!

I like the way you hedge your bets with "the idea of" a Trump presidency, which is smart. I buy your scenario, but I think there is little doubt Trump would do something "half wrong," and pretty quickly, so that means impeachment. Would you really want our country to go through that? It is ugly and embarrassing, and it would take a long time for the US to heal and gain back any kind of international credibility. Also, anyone who is anti-establishment and sick of Washington insiders wouldn't be happy with a Mike Pence presidency, which is a high probability under your scenario.

I am not a big fan of Hillary Clinton or her husband, but I will vote for her. I agree that in the case of the emails she has been both deceitful and negligent. I am not sure what "deceitful or negligent" policies of hers you refer to. Also, what "shenanigans" took place during the Bill Clinton presidency besides the Monica Lewinsky episode, which was Bill, not Hillary? Please don't say "Vince Foster."

The Nixon comparison is a tiresome talking point without much sense behind it. There is virtually no chance the House will go Dem, and you know people like Darrel Issa and Trey Gowdy and their committees will put a magnifying glass on everything Clinton does or says as President and uncover any "misdeed" and then some. You can bet those guys don't care about the label "first woman president." I would rather have Clinton as a president under intense scrutiny than Trump as "window dressing" any day.

Both Republicans and Democrats need to do some serious soul searching in regards to their abandonment of the Middle class. If Hillary is elected NOTHING will change.

Spillzonen, do you ever offer something in a post that is more than a couple of sentences? I don't want to read a novel on an IMDb post, but you are letting yourself and your views off way too easy by posting these facile and cliched observations without any kind of back up. Interested in reading your or anyone else's reaction to Trump's economy speech from today 8/8/16

It's better than what she will do because that will just be Obama part 3!!

Wikileak after wikileak, and frankly Clintons actual resume of non achievement and incompetence in office says it all.

After all these Wikileaks, I'm more convinced than ever that Clinton as president would be an epic disaster on all levels. She and her people embodies the word "corruption" and can't be trusted with anything. She HAS to be stopped!
