Angela Rye is my favorite guest ever

She handled that tool Steve Moore like a champ and had really interesting things to say that were rooted in FACT. I want to see more of here. She is AWESOME. Smart, sassy, and doesn't take any crap from right-wing tools.

reply

Damn right. Did you notice how curtly she shook his hand like it was ebola? I've never seen such an obnoxious guest in all of the years I've seen Bill's show.

Talk about a deplorable.

Steve Moore has been on for many years, and is always obnoxious, and IMHO always WRONG. He is a shill for the wealthy and is an example of the con job the user-wealthy have perpetrated on the middle class over the years with the big lie of trickle-down economics.

How do people consistently vote for candidates who espouse that nonsense, which clearly has not worked out, and will NEVER work out, in their economic self-interest?

reply

Yeah, Steve Moore was incredibly obnoxious, as usual. I have to wonder if this is a pattern with both Trump and his supporters? They seem to think if a woman speaks it's perfectly fine to interrupt and talk over her.

reply

Bill seems to really like this guy a lot, and I just don't understand it. He does smile and laugh like a goof during New Rules so that could be part of it. He really made this episode unbearable.

He must be a smart guy, but his "There is still poverty!" and "We still have potholes!" was just ridiculous. What really got me was how he kept saying Hillary was a politician. No *beep* you dumass. And Trump isn't a politician. Guess what - he became one the minute he started running for President.

My point would have been its too late for that. It doesn't matter now. We have a galactic Dbag running for president, and if you have to vote for a politician (or Bus Driver or Librarian or teacher or Insurance Salesman or Garbage Man) to keep His Orangeness out of the White House, you do it.

reply

Bill likes him because he brings fireworks to the show. The same reason that Bill likes Ann Coulter.

reply

Ok. But I don't think that was the kind of fireworks he was looking for. Its clear he wants some conflict, but people just talking over one another is not good TV. He also wants good TV.

reply

It's up to the host of shows like this to keep things somewhat controlled, and Bill clearly wasn’t up to the task this episode. He’s been on the show before and will be again. Especially if Trump wins.

Oh wait; if Trump wins there probably won't be a Bill Maher show anymore. In fact, Bill himself may not be around for very long.

reply

A Trump win will drive him crazy, but he will have plenty of material.

That is until the Trump FCC shuts him down for treasonous broadcasts under the new Truth in Media bill.

She was horrible imho, couldn't stand her. I don't care enough to type down my main issues with her though :D.

reply

She was just as annoying as Steve

reply

they were both unbearable to varying degrees.

did you catch the look she gave when bill said he didn't agree with st. colin of kaepernick even thuogh she didn't know what he was going to say? the trumptard and the sjw ruined the show.

reply

osp80,

EXACTLY!

She was a petulant condescending b!tch to put it nicely. I have caught her a couple of times on CNN and she is way more hostile on there. The only people that like her on this thread are obviously biased and already in the tank for the FAR FAR FAR left.

I noticed as soon as he said he disagreed with Kaepernick she got seriously pissed off and she did not even let him finish. Talk about biased. I also noticed at the beginning they are talking about some stats and she wanted to disagree and spin some BS until Maher said those stats were right and she just shut up real quick. Yep, biased, petulant, condescending spin doctor for the FAR left.

She seemed kind of full of herself to me.

reply

Extremely full of herself. The "why are you touching me" freak out like he was gonna rape her on live television. Talk about over dramatic.

reply

Talk about over dramatic.

Exactly. At first, I thought..."Good for her! Don't let others talk over you." (Mostly the person to her left)

But when she did the "Don't touch me!!!" freakout it went overboard from there. Plus, she gave Bill a condescending look when he started to mention Colin Kaepernick. She did't know what he was about to say...but even if she did, it's Bill's show.

She started off spunky but ended up as obnoxious as the guy trying to talk over her.

reply

She wasn't full of herself, she was just understandably annoyed with that obnoxious doofus sitting next to her. She couldn't say more than five words without him interrupting her with his gibberish. And he touched or tried to touch her shoulder, which she wasn't comfortable with. She wasn't trying to insinuate rape, pal.

reply

She's a diva if I've ever seen one... pal.

reply

No examples pal?

reply

in all fairness to Steve, a lot of Republicans go on this show and can't finish a sentence without Bill or some other lefty screaming over them or Bill makes the same tired Trump jokes and his sheep in the crowd go nuts. Steve was terrible because he came in to aggressive and would ramble. She would ramble and scream herself without making a real point. Bill needs to lay off the weed and actually control the flow better. I think most of us want a debate show with both sides making a point but it feels more like a Trump or a republican roast. He needs some new material because Billy has been using those lame jokes for over a year now,

reply

No I just figured if the thread had devolved into name calling I should get one in too.

reply

You consider "pal" to be a form of name calling? What a delicate flower you must be. If you want to see some real name calling, go to a YouTube comment section.

reply

Haha hardly. No I was referring to your "obnoxious doofus" comment about the conservative guest.

reply

Because that's what Steve Moore is. Nothing wrong with stating the facts. And Trump is now officially a possible sexual predator.

reply

Resorting to name calling is childish. And Trump owns what he says. Words.
The only sexual predator in this is married to Hillary Clinton.

reply

No, the way Moore conducted himself on the show was childish. Trump's campaign made him put out a scripted video apologizing for his "words," which looked about as genuine as his tan. You could practically see Kellyanne Conway holding up the cue cards while he slowly recited the lines.

No one is defending Bill Clinton. But Trump has also faced rape accusations and charges of unwanted advances from more than one woman. Based on his language in the 2005 leaked audio, it's not terribly hard to imagine. Keep an open mind instead of always deflecting to the Clintons.

reply

To end this conversation abruptly I'd vote for a bear in a clown car before voting for Hillary.

reply

That's okay, you have every right to feel that way. I don't like her either, but Trump is a far worse possibility for me. So we'll vote how we vote.

Edit: On further reflection, a bear in a clown car pretty much summarizes Trump perfectly.

reply

He does and I'm still voting for him. Now thats funny. :)

Regardless of how much of a tool Steve Moore is her response to him about how the black community has been suffering under the dems was arrogant and pathetic

The problem with that statement is that you and all others making it seem to feel you can lump all Black people together. There is no such thing as a national "Black Community." If you want to say inner-city Black communities have not fared well, that's one thing, but this blanket statement is utter nonsense.

Many of us have prospered under Democratic policies, and that has nothing to do with social programs, welfare, or any other handout. I made a lot of money during the Clinton administration. I lost quite a bit under Bush, and I have regained a good portion of it under the current administration.

Being Black doesn't automatically mean you are poor, or impoverished. All Black people have not "suffered under the dems." So, please stop saying that.

reply

both parties do that to the "black community".

the right does it like steve did and the left treats you like "po' lil negroes" that can't make it without the white man's help and you have no agency of your own.

I disagree. I don't feel that from the entire Democratic side, and I have worked on the hill under both Democratic and Republican administrations.

reply

I vehemently disagree.

As someone who (unfortunately) watches some CNN, she is the most disrespectful surrogate/commentator they have on. She always takes what she thinks are subtle shots at her Republican counterparts, and she comes off as holier than thou while preaching the same cliches every Democratic shill does.
