You're not alone-I completely agree with you.

I just finished viewing this film and cannot believe the folks who gave it high ratings. The pacing was god awful, the characters while colorful, still came off flat as the movie's plot progressed, and the whole thing with her having flashbacks between the ghost killings was totally confusing. Its only towards the end do you realize how screwed up this film really is. My god-the way it ends too-she picks up a surfer and and her personality is all weird.

Now I realize she is emotionaly troubled-but why then does she act pretty sane for a woman with traumatic flashbacks about the death of her sister as a child? Again-why is she acting all weird at the end as she picks up that surfer?

Its as if she was the killer all throughout this film. That totally goes against what they showed of the killings. She saw a few of the people die infront of her. The scene with that hippie flower girl breaking her neck down a flight of stairs-a ghost had pushed her,so this girl could not have murdered her,LOL,the film is a complete mess.

Get some taste before judging movies folks, damn.

Ummm...get a clue before you start reveiwing movies, moron! Jeez, ever heard the saying that it's "better to keep your mouth shut and let people think you're stupid instead of opening it and letting them know"?! I'd love for you to watch something really intellectually challenging like a Bergman or Lynch movie and then post your response...lol. Don't you realize that the girl is a schizophrenic? She's on medication in the beginning of the film dummy, that's why she's acting "normal". She saw the people die in front of her because she was there doing the killing! Ever heard of psychotic and/or drug induced visions? Did you really think there were "ghosts" and some freak in his underwear and a top hat doing all the killing???? Did you watch the scene towards the end which shows she actually held her sister down and drowned her? Did you even see the freakin' film?! Hey, it's your right to not like the movie based on whatever reason you may have...but do you really want to come off sounding so ignorant when you obviously didn't watch the movie sober or just aren't bright enough to grasp the simplest of plots?

I would reccomend getting some brains before crtiquing anything!

Agreed.

It was plain to me that she killed her own sister when she was young .. she had a psychotic break later, was hospitalized and medicated, thus seeming normal.

She stopped taking her pills and started in on some heavy hallucinagetic drugs (or possibly, she was doing both).

The "ghosts" were in her mind ~ she did all of the killing and then blocked it all out .. thats why it looked like she was hiding across the room when Guilty Karma went down the stairs; she was the one who killed Guilty, then, still in a fuge state, blocked out what she did, and hid across the room.

In the end, she finally accepted who she was ~ a killer ~ and she assumed that identity .. Jesabel. She even used Damon's words when trying to talk the surfer (her next victim) into getting into the van.

It was poorly made, but Mann and Stein made it that way on purpose .. I thought it was f'ing hilarious and I love the hype and fake stories, names attached to it.
