For the fans of Reflections of Evil

I stumbled across this film in an IMDB board of recommendations and bought it(yes bought it!) over the net. I've watched it 4 times now. I've become a little obssessed with it.

Can you please recommend some more "out there" films I might enjoy...

I haven't seen any American independent films that follow Packard's directorial style, but if you're looking for "out there" films or short films I highly recommend the work of The Brothers Quay. They do primarily stop-motion animation, but most of their work is highly abstract and bizarre but in the same vain as Reflections of Evil.

The main character and intensity of Frownland make it very similar to Reflections of Evil, although Frownland relies more on realism. Both are amazing and jarring films.

Thankyou. I checked it out and was interested enough to purchase on amazon. Now awaiting the package...

Chappaqua (1966) reminded me a bit of Reflections of Evil.
