Lindsay's letter to Helen..I was so SURPRISED! (spoiler alert)

Lindsay said that JENNY was the one who raised HELEN! "...she taught the bunnies in the burrow.."

(The scene in which they're reading the letters at the end of the movie.) How did that come to be? We'll never know?

It was revealed earlier in the movie that the girls' mom died when Helen was 7. Lindsay was apparently the oldest and left home soon after that, so Jenny was left to be Helen's maternal figure. I'm guessing the dad was probably working a lot, so Jenny was primarily the one who took care of Helen, teaching her how to tie her shoes, etc.

I believe that was something said in Lindsay's letter to Jenny, not her letter to Helen. Her letter to Helen was just the lyrics to Devo's "Whip It".

"There isn't any more, you drank the whole fairy...and you're going to your room."

Yes, we are told through the movie that Jenny actually did the bulk of raising Helen, which made for a nice little twist, as did the reading of the letters towards the end of the film.🐭
