Rodney Bingenheimer vs Anry Samoans

I just saw Punk's Not Dead for the 4th time and noticed Rodney Bingenheimer is somehow popular to a lot of punkbands. I also read a bit on wikipedia about him.

I'm also a big fan of the Angry Samoans for more then a decade now I always assumed the 'Rodney' in 'Get Of The Air' was some kind of jerk (but didn't know him while I don't live in the US).

So here's my question: Why is one of the best punk bands in the world bashing him while other punkbands talk so positive about him? Didn't he wanted to play the Angry Samoans on the radio and/or is there more to it?
