Response to "Worst punk documentary ever" review by Arganius

This review is "complete *beep* There was a lot in the film about the question of whether pop-punk bands Sum 41 et al are true punk bands. The film didn't say they are true punk. In fact it provided various peoples' point of view on that matter. This film is a documentary. Arganius obviously doesn't understand what that is.
As for Billy Idol - he was in one of the first generation punk bands (Generation X), regardless of his subsequent solo pop career.
(Lou Reed, The Doors, and The Velvet Underground aren't punk artists/bands. The VU might be considered proto-punk by some.)

Agreed. Saying Sid Vicous was not punk because he was nihilistic is beyond stupid. Nihilism is at the core of punk. Johnny Rotten hated Reagan's guts.
