a very... (spoiler warning!!!)

moving movie. i hadn't heard about sabina before watching this movie and now im glad that i saw this movie. imagine not only recovering from severe mental illness but going on to become a famous physchoanalyst and then very sadly dying along with her daughters. this movie really touched me and i loved it. btw, caroline ducey is beautifull.

Yes I liked the movie to, very moving and a deserved recognition, at least who she was. Pity IMDB's title is only in French it should contain the english title to "The Soulkeeper". Admin please add to the above title, thats why the comments here on the forum are so few as few can find this movie under the french title when its an english movie.

I liked the movie a lot, but the stereotypical demonization of Stalin and similar was just dumb and one dimensional. It would be much more trustworthy if the movie just showed her attitude toward Stalin in a realistic manner without the drama.

Psychoanalysis was and is regarded as a pseudo-science both then and now, so the attitudes of the state were naturally negative in a time where every effort had to be put into defending and modernizing the country in order to make people able to live in freedom later on.

Even though I knew what was going to happen, I was moved. I particularly liked the story of that boy. There will be a new adaptation of her story, this time with Keira Knightley, but they will include Freud this time, he is only mentioned. Also, in the book I was reading, A Most Dangerous Method, it shows that she had many sexual issues, in this movie the subject is treated more lightly.

I loved Emilia Fox's performance! She was a wonderful Sabina.
